It’s Time to Meditate

For today, I would ask rather that you read the words and meditate on them.
2 Timothy 3:1-9 reads:
But understand this,
that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.
For people will be lovers of self,
lovers of money,
proud,
arrogant,
abusive,
disobedient to their parents,
ungrateful,
unholy,
heartless,
unappeasable,
slanderous,
without self-control,
brutal,
not loving good,
treacherous,
reckless,
swollen with conceit,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having the appearance of godliness,
but denying its power.

Avoid such people.
For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women,
burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,
always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,
so these men also oppose the truth,
men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.
But they will not get very far,
for their folly will be plain to all,
as was that of those two men.

God’s Word is as much alive today as it was 2000 years ago. The Bible clearly explains that in the Last Days many will fall away from the faith. The Devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. He does not care about the lost souls that are his by default, he needs to do nothing with those who are already his, other than to keep the distraction pleasing and appealing. He does care about the so-called “believer’s” of Jesus’ Bride. He wants nothing more than to steal just one, all he needs to do is steal one. John tells us in the 6th chapter that all that the father has given Jesus He will not lose. ” And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
Satan already knows the outcome, he knows he is the loser, but his primary goal is to prove God wrong, just once.
Meditate on this scripture, ask the Holy Spirit to minister to your soul and reveal Jesus as you read today’s scripture. The Last Days started the minute Jesus ascended up into heaven, we are just now 2000 years closer to the end. The last thing I will leave for you is the concept of men creeping into households. We, everyone of us, allow outside influence into our homes through TV’s, computers, tablets, and your smartphones. God is waking up His Elect, it is time for us to ask if we are in fact one of the ones Jesus will not lose, but instead raise us to life on the last day.
