Living by the Spirit When Culture Demands You Join a Side

Staying Submitted to Christ When Every Voice Screams “Pick a Team”

Culture right now is obsessed with sides — politics, vibes, platforms, everything. Pick one or get labeled. The pressure is constant.

The Spirit-led life refuses to play. It stays submitted to Christ alone.

Augustine found rest only when he stopped dividing his own heart. Reinke reminds us that every new spectacle is just another distraction from the cross. Lewis showed demons loving factions. Schaeffer urged unity in the essentials while refusing cultural captivity.

Galatians 5:25 says it plain: “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.”

The antithesis is final: culture demands sides; the Spirit demands surrender.

I’m not on any team but Christ’s. If that same steadiness is what you’re feeling while the world tries to draft you… you’re not alone. The quiet ones are still here.

So here’s the question only you can answer — not your friends, not your family, not your church:

Who do you say that Jesus is?

Either He is exactly who He said He is, or He isn’t.

How you answer that question will dictate how you live from this moment on.

What if you took a real digital detox — even for just a week — stepped out of the feed, and let the fog clear long enough to answer Him honestly?

Culture demands sides. The Spirit demands surrender.

Will you become His doulos — a true bondservant of Christ alone?

The path is still open.
